This is among the most concentrated wine I've ever had, and that includes plenty of Eszencia. I won't attempt to catalogue everything going on in this, but it could be eaten with a spoon.

the least evolved vintage of this wine I have tried - thick and viscous (beyond the usual) - honey, molasses, figs, dried fruit, maple syrup. Quite sweet - when compared to other vintages, I would give this more time in the bottle - maybe 50 more years?

A small gaggle of wines with the Seattle Wine Group (Amaroso Room - Wine Storage Bellevue): Wow, what an experience. Nose is extremely elegant, yet complex and impressive; it had burnt sugar, coffee, figs, roasted pecans, Turkish Delight, lavender honey-it just goes on and on. I could just sit and sniff this for hours. The palate has a mouthfeel that is thick and viscous like olive oil, followed by a kaleidoscopic array of nuts, dried fruit, lots of fig and toffee, with a reappearance of coffee and something wild on the finish. A total "wow" wine, one of the best I ever had. Thanks Ron!

Still amazing. I could just put a few drops of this in a glass and smell it all night. Complex flavors of coffee, molasses, dark honey, cinnamon and other dark spices. This is still just an amazing wine. I have left some to try a few days from now, so will update with that. But at the moment this is hard to complain about. Brought to our Seattle offline after the champagne tasting.

Wow! This baby is packed! Dense, fat super rich with notes of espresso, figs, plums and nice saffron! And yet, despite the opulence it is able to maintain a certain elegance. Of course this has a bit much alcohol, but it's reasonably well integrated. Awesome stuff!
