Taste of Tasmania 09/10 (Hobart): {screwcap, 12.7%, A$25} Youthful nose of nuts and figs, with some discreet supporting oak. Palate follows - adds some smoky flavours, a toasty note - it's not in the least tropical. Medium+ bodied, with a decent length finish, but reamins a bit one-dimensional overall. But like all Australia chardonnay, better than it was 10 years ago.
