i "found" this in my cellar probably would have drank sooner but it fell off my inventory from a 1.5L i have had since it was released it was wonderful! soft and incredibly drinkable with great fruit no tannins but good structure very impressive after 30 years

I was wrong about it in 2018 and so wasn't expecting much even though the cork was solid and only wet for the bottom quarter inch. The browning wasn't a bad sign, we have had brown Bordeaux that were delicious. Lots of crusty sediment but nice clean nose and first sip with no air was surprisingly pleasant. After 45 minutes in decanter it blossomed to a lovely 93 that reminded of those mature French Bordeaux, wonderfully smooth and integrated. With the food 15 minutes later it was clearly 94 and singing, a real treat. At 90 minutes it started to subside but by then we were finishing the last glass. Great fun.

Fantastic expression of Howell Mountain. Beautiful fruit, great structure but fully approachable. I think this is probably in it's prime drinking window. Glad to have one more bottle

Good color, lots of sediment, faint nose. Best after an hour of air, but the fruit is drying out and leaving a slightly tart finish. Still 88-89 and fun, but it's a drink-up.

Showed well against a 1991 Dunn Howell Mtn. Fruit was still present, but faded after a short bit. Not complex, just a decent aged Cali mountain cab. For $50 on winebid, it was good QPR.
