Dark red color, red raspberry & vanilla nose, plenty of tart red fruit on palate, seems a bit too acidic, tannins still noticeable, medium length finish.

Ripe (overripe?), sweet nose. Palate has good structure. Nice, very drinkable. Good remaining fruit on the palate. One of the best B&H wines I've had. Starts to fade quite quickly with air. Do not decant for long.

These Behrens & Hitchcock wines tend toward two poles — unholy horror or surprisingly nice. This one was unholy horror. DNPIM.

Some volatile acid. Fruit is more red than black. Not recommended to buy, but drinkable.

Sweet, powdery, floral, violets, fruit, plum, ripe, oddly ripe and floral aromas. Sweet middle, high alc. Has the smell of a plastic wine cork.
