The fruit sweetens to a cherry cough drop and the pert acidity helps keep things alive. Lingering finish of oxidized metal and brick. The fact that this table wine is still clinging to life after 17 years is testament to the longevity of Tempranillo.

  Leather, dried blood, pennies, savory and fiercely acidic. Sour socks and cooked veggies creep in. Fairly classic old Rioja, decent.
