Light ruby in appearance- considerably lighter than a bottle drunk about 8 or 9 months ago.
Fully mature and pronounced nose of candied raspberry, kirsch, vanilla, spice and liquorice.
Full bodied on the plate with medium tannin and still plenty of acidity- which is appreciated in a 14 year old or so CDP. The flavor persistence is impressive and the finish is long.
Very well done with no sign of being tired, but who really knows with Grenache, so I would opt to drink up.

PNP and paired with smoked pork shoulder (aka Boston Butt). Dark red color (looked younger than expected). Herbal, dried raspberry, black cherry, black tea and pipe tobacco. On palate, similar flavor profile to nose. Integrated tannins, medium+ acidity, medium+ body and long finish. Beautiful fruit. Has aged very well but agree with prior taster to drink in next 12-24 months. 93+

Still bold and big with loooong finish. Quite amazing and indicative of why CdP (and Barolos) are built for long term cellaring.

Fairly light red. Ripe roasted black fruit, combined with some really nice earthiness. Rich, warm high alc. flavours and a rich but dry finish.
Not as ripe, hot and sweet as 07 Donjon but what is? One glass was enough.

Another casualty as month 8 of the lockdown continues to decimate my cellar...
Nice medium ruby appearance. Some lightening, but not as much as expected in a CDP that has spent 12 years or so in the bottle.
The nose is obviously mature, but in no way tired or cooked. Lots of dusty raspberry, cherry flavors (not quite kirsch), vanilla, spice and liquorice.
Full bodied on the plate with medium tannin and just enough acidity to hold things together. The mouthfeel is gorgeous and the finish is long.
Very well done- but I will not push my luck and will drink up my remaining stock over the next 12 months.
