  very good but doesnt have the depth of flavor of the 2007 yet. still a superb drop!

  The nose was a ride through a full season of apples from blossoms all the way to fallen fruit. The mouth began with pear butter, then gala apples left overnight, their fresh scent wafting up from a big basket sitting on earth outside a kitchen door at the cusp of harvest -- leaf littler, earth, perfume of uncut apple with the power to make all things ripe. A long finish with lingering fruit like a sweet memory of delicious vintage port. A treat for a Pinot lover with a passion for Zin. I had a glass overlooking the Tokyo harbor from the Conrad hotel lounge on the 28th floor, accompanied by honey-glazed roasted cashews.
