Dinner at Tim and Elliott's (San Francisco, CA): Deep purple-ruby; white pepper, plummy, blackberry fruit; palate is full bodied, smooth integrated tannin, very slightly drying, plenty of deep black fruit, great flavor; medium finish with good fruit. Very nice wine. 88-90

At first there is quite some sweetness on the nose which blows off quickly, making room for more earthy and dark berry aromas. In the mouth this is still quite tannic with dark fruit, mushroom and the iron/mineral component usually present in these wines. This is very well made and is likely to last a long time.
