Frankly we expected this to be a lot more restrained closer to a domain de la cote in Cali Pinot style rather than the calera we had side by side (Papies 90-91) but still less than the mainstream beasts of Pinot one crosses path in that part of the world. Sweet core of fruit but in check and actually finishes savory, decent level of spice but in check and well managed oak and alc level. Good wine but we expected a lot more or should we say a lot less. 90-91

Took out to dinner so may not have shown at its best. Medium red, slight browning, lovely savory scents. Complex forest floor and herb notes with the classic Summa blood orange tinge. Resolved tannins but still lively. Lovely wine and last Ted Lemon made from this vineyard.

Absolutely beautiful nose of fruit and spice. Well balanced palate with plenty of acid to age for at least a few more years. Even so, it's drinking really well right now.

PnP. Medium red. Savory nose of spice and red fruits. Lovely balance on the palate with secondary notes of spice rather than fruit and a very linear line from mid-palate to finish. Not fruity at all - but excellent flavor. Missing some of the blood orange nose/palate I often get in Summa. Ready to drink but no hurry as the balance is perfect.

Pleasant but too fat and not enough complexity or length. Not my cup of tea.
