Not a very strong bouquet - just hints of lemon, honey, and pear coming through. Texture is smooth, even slick. Sweeter than I expected though I suppose that's characteristic of the region. A nice blend of honey and melon with the slightest acidity. Good body on this one - can stand on its own. A good quality wine though a bit sweet for my preference.

Medium lemon yellow in the glass. Lovely nose of lemon, grass, baked spiced apple, and lemon turkish delight. Fresh with some oily weight and good fruit intensity. Terrific balance and impressive length with herby lemon and chalky minerals on the finsh. This still has more to give, best in a year or two. Stunning value as always - seek this out!

No TN, but like the previous poster, impressed at the price and certainly in character for Alsace. Drunk over three nights (stored in fridge between openings) and the screwcap made this easier. It certainly kept well over that period.

Tasting at Albert Mann (Wettolsheim, Alsace, France): Bottled just 2 weeks ago. Again a bubblegum and tropical nose. Lots of fruit and more depth than the generic '04 Pinot Gris. This is not a bad wine in it's price range.
