From Sommelier blind tasting Clear yellow/green core of moderate- intensity and a thin watery rim. This wine 'glows' in the glass. Colour indicates some development or late harvest or oak treatment. Funky medicinal intense nose of menthol and eucalyptus with honey and cloves supplanted with rose. Developed and complex nose. Clean slightly off-dry wine with honey/clove/overripe Bartlett pear on the initial attack but there is a lot more there. Moderate to full body and the acid is sufficient to balance the huge fruit and honey botrytis sweetness of the flavour. Finish is long with more honey, menthol and a bit of alcohol heat. Definite development shown on the palate. Very good quality - drinkable now but the intense aromas will put some people off - age longer to really develop (3-5 years) the rest of the spectrum. This wine will age and develop very well. Turns out it has 14% alcohol.

(70-year-old vines). Flat out sweet, but delicious. Very, very refreshing. Would love to try this with Chinese.

Tasting at Albert Mann (Wettolsheim, Alsace, France): Light yellow in color with an effusive nose of roses and a long spicy finish. Despite this it seemed to be lacking depth compared to previous vintages.
