Cork came out in one piece, something of a rarity for the Ravenswood library stash even though I always use an ah-so on these. Bursting with energy right out of the gate.
Lots of forest floor, a touch of cedar and tobacco. Fruit is quite dry, as one would expect. What jumped out at me though was that this was quite tart. It worked really well given that the tannins are resolved.
It's on the (gentle) downslope now, but plenty of life left.

12.9%. Medium dark red. No fading. Initial nose mushroom earth nail polish. Lifted red berry fruit. Strong acid backbone. Tannins almost fully resolved. Bought from Once & Future library sale. This can maybe go a decade or more if properly stored.

Mostly 1991 California Cabernet Blind (Berkeley): Group's #5; my #4; 2 first; 1 second; 4 third; 2 last. Aromas and flavors of blackberries, raspberries, meat, minerals, and barnyard. Good balance an acidity, with a medium finish.
