A real treat to taste 30 year old red burgundy 1er cru, shared by a good friend 4 years ago at a Michelin star Cal French Italian inspired restaurant. Decanted by restaurant staff slowly (mostly just to remove sediment) and it was left to sit for at least 30 to 45 minutes before consuming. Wonderfully aromatic and smooth (4 years ago, I don't recall exact details) but it was a very nice match with the courses, especially the richer flavored pasta courses.
