Community Tasting Notes (1) Avg Score: 100 points

  • Just a little bit oxidized but still very much alive. Developed and complex bouquet of earth mushrooms, violets, leather and touch of ripe red fruit. The tannins are still there but very softened. Nice bright acidity, and a long finish. We drank the wine in probably about an hour and it never died. What impressed me the most is that the wine had barely any sediments in the bottle. I will grade this wine 100, based on the wonderful experience: a 45 year old wine still holding up beautifully.
