  • Tasted blind, this wine had a red center with yellow/orange rims. The high- intensity nose showed stewed cherries, sous bois, plums, and a hint of honey.

In the mouth, this was medium bodied with lovely richness and solid acidity. While the light, fine-grained tannins were attractive, this wine was on headed down with bottle age rather than an up.

A very nice bottle but maybe not what one would hope for from a great vineyard in a great year. Drink up!

  • Light raspberry color with a little bricking around the edges. High-pitched cherry nose and a flavor to match. Impressive in that the wine has an excellent acidity and spine present that carries the complex cherry taste through all parts of the mouth.

  • Tasted blind, this wine showed a medium red center with orange rims with just a touch of tan. The high intensity nose of plums, flowers, honey, and cedar was attractive.

In the mouth it was light bodied with light tannins, but the solid acidiity gave it nice length. This ripe wine was fully resolved and I doubt it will get any better. Thanks Steve for another sneaky fast ball.
