I always feel I’m being a bit harsh with the Mt Majura Tempranillo, but I just found that this had a overly strong eucalypt flavour running through it – a flavour that seems to have intensified with age. There’s also blackberry, black cherry and spice, but the eucalypt is ultimately distracting. Other than that, it’s a well-built wine with sandy tannins and good length and I’m sure others would probably enjoy it more than I did.

Sour cherry, blackberry and a bit of chocolate on the nose. Well balanced on the palate with a good intensity of flavour.
