  {screwcap, 13.5%} From plantings in 2000. Crimson-garnet. Youthful, medium-intensity cabernet-dominant nose of currants, tobacco and twiggy aromas. The palate is very tidy and medium-sized, stightly grainy french oak tannins overwhelming the currant-and-leaf fruit flavours; there's a touch of (presumably merlot-derived) generosity on the mid-palate, but it's hardly a saturating wine. Medium-weight and medium length of finish; overall a decent and nicely-scaled wine, but that's about it.
