Deep ruby with some edge transparency indicative of age. Intense nose of plum, blackcurrant, chocolate and vanilla. Opulent palate of dark fruits, cinnamon with a hint of some tar. tannins have softened and the finish is long with a slightly syrupy element which brings the wine down a bit. Surprising performance for a budget label.

Very interesting. We found this at a liquor store that is notorious for not getting rid of its stock. Sometimes you take a gamble and lose. This time we won.
Wine poured tawny. We let it breathe for a while. On the front, I get cherries soaked in alcohol and licorice. On the back balsamic glaze/must. Overall very pleasant with moderate complexity even though we opened it well past its prime.

Needs to breath a lot to be drinkable. For the price I paid ($5) is was a great deal... but overall it is on the bottom of good for the $10-12 price it usually demands. A very standard 'Table Red' that most people can drink... pairs pretty well with any foods on the heavier side.

This is a middle of the road Australian shiraz. Not much fruit to speak of, lots of tannins. A fine quaffer for the price.

A great value, this wine is a big-bodied, mouthful of earthy berries with smooth tannins.
