  • First bottle after a two-week wine fast. And what a great bottle to return to the vine with! This bottle totally played a wonderful balance between sharp, crisp acidity, and warm, fleshy earthy notes. A great bottle of Chard. Wish there was more out there. Everything was there: nose, legs and palate.

  • Color is a rich, golden yellow (like the color of Martinelli's sparkling cider). Nice, thick, viscous legs. The nose is very citrusy (almost seems like Pinot Gris, if you were smelling blind). Apricots, grapefruit, kiwi fruit.
The initial palate is rich and buttery. The apricot on the nose carries through on the midpalate, which is fleshy and supple. The finish has a tangy/tart edge which seems to slightly distract from the fullness on the entry. However, that's a minor issue. All in all, a great bottle.
