Deep gold color with a touch of fine sediment. some deep walnut, butterscotch aromas and flavors, full feel on palate. Primary fruit and sweetness gone. drinking fine, holding well, which i have found with Martinellis in the 10+ year range. ****

Drinkable, no ripe fruit, but nutty dried fruit. Use some to steam mussels, and it was delicious.

Aging remarkably gracefully, well balanced, with persistence of citrus oil an tropical fruits, hints of creamy vanilla, brioche.

Never really reached a peak. This has a reticent nose with butterscotch prevailing. Not unpleasant but just old, not evolved.

Opened up to use in cooking, as I thought it would be gone. I was wrong. Nothing that distinctive, but still with nice flavor, fruit and finish.
