Wow, this is different right from the start. It's almost a bright yellow with gold tinges so I wondered if it had oxidised but - no - it hadn't. Aromas of citrus, herbs and turkish delight. Medium bodied - almost oily like a viognier - with aniseed, citrus, spice and bitter almond on the palate all washed down with decent acidity and a nice long finish. An unsual wine and one that took a bit of digging around to find out a bit about it. The DOC is whites only and is in the south of the Marche region in Italy. I bought it in London but have since found that Oddbins are selling it (and for less than I paid for it!).
