Amazingly youthful. Black spice, earth, leather, dark cherry. Bright acidity , fine but grippy tannins , sweet fruit, earth and licorice spice, cherry stone spice , delicious blend of earth fruit and spice. Tastes only 30 years old.

Farewell wine dinner for Samson (Stanley Deli @ TST): Very interesting old Italian that none of us knew what to expect from it. The wine appears and tastes much younger than its actual age, with energy and richness. Nose is packed with tart, minerals, sulphide, hint of rubber, quite a powerful nose. The stated sulphide note is quite prominent on the palate, mixed in a bit of guava and wine-soaked glutinous rice. An interesting one.

Euto-Themed Lunch - Southern Italy (Donato Enoteca, Redwood City, CA): Fairly dark brown/red color. Some sweetness and some heat on the nose (A-).
Outstanding palate. Long finish (A-). This felt like a 20 years old wine!!
