Popped and vinturi'd watching the Mavs beat the Heat in the NBA championship tonight. Not a lot on the nose, right out of the gate. This full bodied wine, took about an hour and a half to open up. Deep dark chocolate flavors, along w/assorted dark fruit, dark, ripe cherry..along w/a layer of complexity. Kept on getting better as the night went on.

Popped and vinturi'd along w/a T-Bone steak, baked potatoe and pasta/asparagus salad. Nose of dark chocolate and assorted dark fruits. Full bodied, soft and smooth w/mellow tannins. A bit of cab in here too, add a nice bite on the finish. Nice merlot, worth seeking out.

Popped and vinturi'd. Nose of dark fruits, cocoa and distant earth. This is huge, really needs a healthy decant, full bodied and took some time to open up. Very well made, a truly "soft cabernet" like many merlots tend to be...but still a monster in its own way. A tad hot @ 14.5% alc. Should age well, interesting take on merlot, not many bruisers quite like this. Meek need not apply...
