Tasted over 3 hrs -med dark red mild clearing -lifted raspberry and other red berries and cherry -med+/hi acidity just barely buffered by the med/med- weight sappy pretty red berry cherry mineral -like licking cherry-infused rocks, really lively and delicious just avoiding shrillness, more '08 than Gevrey but not a lot of familiarity with Champonnets to say how typical it is

Still a bit clenched but there is finally development. Very firm mineral core of red fruits and rose petals. There is some aromatic development with hints of tea and maybe even licorice. This is a very precise and focused wine. The tannins are starting to recede a bit and it works well with food but I think a few more years in the cellar are in order.

A simply horrid wine. I have been patient with it, giving it time to find itself and integrate. But there is nothing there, all tannin and acid with no fruit, no structure, zero charm. The worst wine I have had in a long time.

PnP. Transparent ruby. Tart cherry, but not too tart. The kind of tart that gets your salivary glands going. This bottle is definitely not over the hill.
