  • A remarkable transformation in the bottle. This dry furmint was fresh and delicious a year ago, with hint of the spicy and exotic, along with good fresh fruit and nice acidity. A year later, however, and it was transforming into something very interesting indeed. The fresh fruit was gone, replaced with fabulous, rich candied fruit, and retaining the spicy, exotic quality. Definitely worth keeping a couple of bottles to see how this developes over the next couple of years

  • Straw yellow. Restrained nose showing spring flowers. Creamy medium body; a touch of glycerine; good crisp acidity. Long on the palate; rich floral honey, cloudy apple juice and a hint of vanilla from the subtle oak. Long buttery finish. Lovely. Superb for it's price.
