Very good Rosso. A bit too old but I kept at room temp for about a year or so. Stewed red fruits, prunes. Still acid and some fruit though alcohol a tiny bit overwhelming. I'd try it agian but wouldn't seek it. Goes well with meat dishes, great with lamb and even better with bison ribs. I liked it more on day 2.

Translucent brick with watery edge. Big cherry and cocoa on the nose. Lots of red fruit in the mouth with some chocolate and pine going on. Acid and tannin in good balance. Mouth-filling and a little chewy.

(Canalicchio di Sopra Rosso di Montalcino) Medium cranberry red color with pale meniscus; smoke, tart red fruit, dried currant nose; tight, tangy, tart red fruit, dried red berry palate with firm drying tannins; medium-plus finish

Classic Rosso di M; very easy to drink, went well with steak, great QPR at $20.

Gordon's Brunello Vertical (Gordon's Fine Wine and Culinary Center): Fairly decent Rosso. Bit rough around the edges and rustic and suffered in comparison to the smoothness of the Valdicava Rosso.
