Lovely bottle of Blaufränkisch. Really needed the ten years of bottle age to shine. Classy aged Blaufränkisch flavors, still vibrant acidity and gorgeous red cherry fruit, soft tannins, chalky minerality and long spicy and mouthwatering finish. Fresh and crisp wine style. Best with food. Should hold well another 3-5 years in a good cellar. - 89 points

A very elegant, fresh and typical Nittnaus Blaufränkisch. Right after opening it seduces with red berries and a juicy texture with almost no tannins. The acidity is quite high and becomes somewhat aggresive after being open 24h. Best right after opening. Reminds me of a Beaujolais Cru. Time to drink. - 89 points

A bit better than the 2005 although it has already seen its peak. Warm nose of brambleberry and some chocolate, on the palate this continues, but gets broad and hot over time, the tannins are drying. Another disappointment...

Medium ruby with a light nose. A bit thin on body with peppery flavors and light tannins.
