Sadly the last of my 4 bottles, drunk over 5years. It is at its the peak on a plateau at the moment (more tertiary aromas than my last one but the fruit is declining a bit). Really nice Gevrey, with lot of spices, farmyard/meaty. Possible a touch of Brett but nothing unpleasant, on the contrary.

Bottle #12 of my 12 bottle case. Dark brick color. Very evolved, fruit receded, tastes old. After 11 fantastic bottles drank over 7 years, shame to finish with this one. Drink up!

4+ hr decant, this evolved from the opening which had earthy elements and somewhat animal elements. Was fearful of some brett, but 4 hrs later this was just in a great place, dusty tart cherry with somewhat resolved tannins leaving a little tart finish but overall a great presense and overall complexity not expected. Very Gevrey like. Glad I have more, this was my first one and so happy.

Popped and poured, bottle #8 out of 2 x 6 bottle cartons. This carton was stored at Crown for the last 2 years.
Nose a little more evolved than last note - more earth, more mushrooms, some hints of bloody meat. Really quite lovely. In the mouth, the tannins are still slightly coarse, but not as rough as I remember. A little alcohol peaking out at the end.

Purchased en primeur and stored in my wine fridge for the past 3 years or so. Popped and poured, served c.13. degrees and warmed in the glass.
Relatively dark ruby colored, lightly viscous. Beautiful Pinot nose, nice strawberry fruit with hints of earth, mushrooms. In the mouth, some noticeable tannin leaves a slightly coarse mouthfeel, but good fruit again, slightly sweet finish.
Overall, a lovely village burg. - would be a higher score from me but for the texture in the mouth.
