Just had last night and was spectacular. Definitely not over the hill. It had all of the components that we were looking for in a Syrah. It actually tasted like an Aussie Shiraz that is in its prime.

Surprised this wine has turned out so well balanced and approachable for my palate. Still a rich wine but fragrant, vibrant, juicy, and complex. Deep ruby core with a violet brick edge. Super perfumed with aromas of lavender, violet, cassis, olive tapenade, slate, wild berry. Purple fruit flavors with soft tannins, crunchy acidity, and ample density. I believe this wine was crafted as a homage to Hermitage, I think they have succeeded in that goal. Tremendously interesting wine that I wasn't expecting to be a success.

Fully resolved. Big, bold, and roasted chocolate oak notes. Not my preference.

Big wine and slightly passed peak but paired well with roasted pork sandwiches, with avocado and caramelized onions. Love holiday leftovers!
