Sadly the last of my bargain (at the time) LJ St Aubin purchased in 2013. Similar very enjoyable experience as noted a year ago. Deep straw colour. Enchanting nutty buttery and bruised apple nose. Palate leads in with a lovely crisp apple fruit and a buttery nutty background. Vibrant citrus acidity on initial opening that almost makes it difficult to drink a lot in one sitting. This however mellows with time and you have a gem of a wine. I wouldn't have been at all surprised if this was meursault. ~75% of the fruit is apparently sourced from 1er cru plots.

Oak and fruit are so well balanced with good levels of acidity and length. Punches well above its weight, a very impressive burgundy at this price point

Delicious. Initially served too cold but once it came to temp this had lovely tart apple fruit and a buttery nutty background. Vibrant acidity still.
