Dark maroon in color, with a nice fruity, almost port-like nose. Lots of big raspberry fruit, with a touch of earth and leather. Last bottle, sad to see it go.

Thanksgiving Dinner (Dietra's House, Portland OR): Very dark and thick, almost like a port. Huge blackberry and raspberry fruit, with just a touch of earthiness under the raisiny port-like sweetness. Enjoyed by all.

A WineBid purchase just delivered yesterday, and still pretty shook up and fizzy from shipping. Thankfully, the fizz blew off with air in the decanter. Quite dark and thick, so unlike Pinot Noir's I'm used to. This makes me think there is a generous helping of Petite Sirah or something in the blend, as the flavor is just over the top black fruit. Almost like a port in its sweetness, the finish goes on and on. Quite an unique wine for me. Due to the bottle shock, not as good as the previous bottle I enjoyed, that was winery direct. Left some in the bottle to try tomorrow night.

Crazy dark color for being this old. BIG nose of bing cherry. Dark fruit as well. Kind of like a punch in the face. Deep cherry taste with a great earthy finish. Would be awesome with lamb. Still alive but I'd almost say this is peaking as I don't know how much more age would benefit it. Everything is so integrated right now.
