TM Mazoyeres vs Charmes Dinner. Appearance is clear, pale intensity, ruby colour with wtaery rim. Legs. Nose medium intensity, with aromas of boiled vegetal herbs, vegetal earth, red cherries. Developed. On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium alcohol (13.5%), medium tannins, medium body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of sweet red cherries, spice, bramble earth. Medium+ going to long finish. Very good quality. Pleasant and drinking well enough already, just "charmless" when in the illustrious company of the other vintages.

Nice, balanced nose with aromas of dark black fruit, saline, bramble, cocoa, and coffee. Meaty body with great tension and balance, strong acidity, a bit thick but entirely approachable with a long youthful finish. In the zone with a bit of upside but will hold here for a while; no rush.

Red burgundy 2010 (Lier, Norway): Light ruby color, some development. The nose is very complex and structured. Strawberries, mushrooms and soil. Juicy and delicate. Layers of taste. Some tannins. Very, very long. A great experience. 93-94p.

After WWS, KEVIN & KELLY IN BURGUNDY – FAIVELEY, BOUZEREAU, MERME, REMOISSENET, DUJAC & COMTE LIGER-BELAIR; 11/11/2013-11/14/2013 (Burgundy): Very youthful but starts to gain some secondary notes, roasted fruits, white pepper, caramel, black cherries, raspberries and mushroom. Very pure and delicate, bright acidity and noticeable structure. This is a serious classic Charmes. Seems a bit denser and sweeter than Mazoyeres but not as complex and expressive.
