  • There is a distinct, wet sea shell component to this wine that is absolutely impossible to miss at first sniff. Wet chalk, beach sand, limestone, and pumice all combine in a fascinatingly enticing rock cocktail on the nose. Garnishing the edges is a soft yeastiness, a bit of white pepper, some sliced green apple, and just a bit of lemon pith. The layering of aromas in this wine is fantastic and its sense of place is truly undeniable.

Excellently complex and showy from the very first sip, this wine instantly displays a beautiful balance of flavors and mouth feel. Limestone and sea shells play off explosive green and gold apple tones, with lemon juice and rind countering a faintly smoky flavor. This wine has excellent intensity, with an incredible freshness balanced harmoniously with a delicate touch of honey and tones of sweet melon, giving all its minerality and acidity life. The finish lasts forever, still changing and evolving even after the wine is gone. This is an excellently refined effort that drinks well above its price point.
