Not sure if this an off bottle, the fruit has faded, or it has closed down, but this was less impressive than what was tasted at the winery. Plum, wet earth, black cherry, graphite, blackberry, leather, and a hint of barnyard on the nose. Tart cherry, spice, earth, blackberry, and sweet cherry on the palate. Flavors are good but quite muted. Good acidity and very nice earthy finish. Sad, because I recall how tasty it was.

Still drinking well, although it is also still rather tannic. Solid everyday drinking, but more tannic than other vintages.

Laura really didn't like it. I thought it was ok. mix of Pinot and syrah so stronger tannens than just a Pinot.

Delicious to drink, but far too simple a wine for the price tag.

Glunz Grand Tasting (Union League Club of Chicago): Good body. Decent finish. Straight forward bright fruit. Not a lot of personality.
