  • Xmas party at Chateau Davyd. Cork nicely removed with Ah-So. Drank over next 1+ hour.
Appearance is clear, pale intensity, ruby colour with wide garnet rim. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium intensity, with aromas of earth, dried red cherries, undergrowth, pebbly stones minerality, whiffs of musky earth perfume. Developed.
On the palate, dry, medium+ acidity, medium alcohol (13%), melted medium tannins, medium body. Medium flavour intensity, with flavours of dried tea leaves, undergrowth earth, dried sour red cherries, prunes, pebbly stones minerals. Medium+ finish.
Good quality. Vosne village nearing the end of its drinking lifespan. Fruit drying up. Drink up before it's too late.

  • My only remaining bottle, thank goodness. Disagreeably acidic and dry. No fruit. Yet another disappointment from 1995. Almost undrinkable, no pleasure.
