  14% alcohol - a possible blend of Tannat and other grape varieties. Deep to opaque black-red. Aromas of pencil shavings, dry leather, garrigue, mint, some blue fruit, frozen blackcurrant, ground nutmeg and cinnamon.
  Full bodied, powerful wine with cocoa powder texture, robust tannins with plenty of weight and depth in the mid palate. Very much a modern wine with lots of chocolate and coffee, highly polished yet has just enough acid to lift it. Good example of this style, well put together, perhaps a little top heavy for me but I enjoyed it. The warming alcohol on back palate rounds wine off nicely.
