  • A fragarent, round, fruit forward Chardonnay at this stage. Tastes of sweet lemon, slightly underripe pineapple, and apricot. Very low acid. Not a lot of acid or terrior to offset the sweetness. I think it will improve significantly if given another 2-3 of bottle aging to allow the fruit to mellow. 14.6% alcohol.

From the winemaker: "medium straw, brilliant yellow color. Fruit characteristics include lemon curd, tangerine zest and fresh apricot aroma, as well as a bouquet of fresh baked bread, tosted oak, and rising dough. On the palate, it possesses a round, lush entry with with decadent lemon meringue pie filling, vanilla bean ice cream, and caramel corn. This Mersault-like wine has elegance and power and will develop even more bouqet over the next decade. It will pair seamlessly with Dungeness Crab, Chicken Picatta, French brie and San Farncisco Sourdough and vanilla creme brule."

  • Nice chard, not my style, very round and soft, very much in the CA typecast. Enjoyable, but was hoping for less oak and more acidity.
