The cork slid into the wine from the faintest touch of the waiter's friend but the wine turned out to be fine. Nose is very appealing with notes of apricot, orange peel, caramel, oak, nuts and a hint of a herbs. Bright and articulate, a delight. On the palate surprisingly dry and savory with good acidity - rich and sweet of course but very balanced and drinkable with not a lot of weight. Not that much in the way of complexity either but by all means this is a wonderfully tasty and enjoyable bottle of Barsac. Fell off overnight, not drinkable on day 2.

Rhone / Barossa Comparisons (London): Bright yellow-gold. Aroma of peaches and pineapple. Some medicinal notes. Lovely fruit compote flavours of orange, peach and pineapple. Tang of balancing bitterness in the background. Drank well over a week without losing anything. Really good.

Drank at the end of a long dinner -- no formal notes, but still going strong

Decent nose. Palate is a little bit weird with a taste of burned caramel.
UPDATE: Improved on day 2 (vacu-selaed).
