  Brickish red color, nose initially earthy with some funk, oxidized, some red strawberry in the background, flavors of black olives, mushrooms, green tea, earth and some red strawberry which comes out more with air, also get cured meats on the finish which is medium length. Moderate acidity, no tannins. Was definitely past its prime with fruit flavors/aromas mainly in the background but was still enjoyable. My wife really enjoyed it. Monopole.

  Light garnet in color, bricking noted around the edges. Nose is predominantly barnyard, a little sour cherry and a bit of cedar, along with a delicate hint of floral notes. Most of the fruit has faded from the palate; it's a little astringent, but still quite pleasant. Softly tannic with a nice long finish. Most people will not like this wine at this point in time...but it's right up my alley! Love it!
