  • Shocked that this is alive in 2024. It's very wild and woodsy smelling on the nose, with aromas of forest floor, black licorice, fresh tarragon, prunes, raspberry jam and tomato leaf. The palate adds orange peel and green bell pepper. The fruits feel every bit of 35 years old; but the non-fruit flavors feel younger, almost green. Lovely 45 second long finish.

Medium + body with medium + acid and medium tannin. Structurally sound.

Overall this was quite teritary, flavor wise, but not without its charms. It's going to be one of those wines where the structure outlasts the flavor for sure. Drink now if you happen to have one.
