  • Barrel Sample, tasted at Chateau de Campuget.
Unfined at this stage- cloudy white-pale straw. Lots of sulfer; nose of lemon peel and fresh spices; lime and melon. As sulfer dissapates, shows pear/apple and lemon merangue. Raw on the palate now, with lemon, mineral, high acidity. Finishes long with echoes of lemonade. Better than the last time tasted (2000 vintage). Very fresh. A blend of Roussanne and Grenache Blanc. Should evolve into a good value. Owner Jean-Lin Dalle suggests this could be the best vintage made of this wine. Rating 83-88.
