Lots of dark spice and oak, black cherry. Red summer berry finish, but the oak was overblown a tad too much. COnversely, my better half raved, this was in her wheelhouse - good volume.

Dark garnet-tinged magenta. Raspberry, redwood, and leather nose. Medium bodied, kind of woody but not overly so, subtle cherries, sandy tannins, good acid, and a warm medium length finish. Has an old world character thats nice.

Nice! A bit California dark-fruit-forward (and perhaps more of an American crowd-pleaser, and easier to enjoy without food) compared to its Tuscan cousins; but very recognizably Sangio, somewhat tangy and appropriately but not overwhelmingly tannic. Certainly an able foil for Sangiovese-friendly food like pasta with sausage/tomato/cream sauce.

Nice nose and taste of strawberries and other darker fruit. Overall, a good daily drinker.
