Christmas lunch with the wine ark boys (Porcine, Oxford Street): Earlier notes apply on the nose...Oak, slightly oxidised, dark fruits, meaty savoury notes, leather. In the mouth it has medium plus intensity acidity, pronounced tannins, meat extract and reduced beef stock. It's quite large, even after 22 years. Only charry meat works.

Yes! Finally, has emerged as a really nice barolo. Delicious - drinking beautifully. Give it a little air time, as this bottle needed a few minutes to throw off some aging bottle funk (only 5-10 minutes, though)

Decanted, and it needs it as the bottle was caked with very fine sediment. Red tinged amber color. Balsamic nose, shows lots of VA and a trace of stewed red fruits. Deep, ripe and robust palate, licorice and layered black fruits, lovely texture with fine grained, drying tannins. Palate is much better than the nose.

Perfect! The last bottle I had of this wine was not as fresh and vivid as this one. Black berries, licqourice, cedar tree, animalic noted, leather and more. Great fresh tannins! Love it!👍🏼

With grilled lamb chops. Delicious, tons of leather and tobacco . Decant for sediment. Time to drink
