A star wine. This is big, lots of flavour but in perfect balance. An apricot/ white fruits fruit profile, with bitterness - like the stone of a peach or apricot, or the skin of an old russet apple. Also a liquorice note on the later palate. It's big, but really stunning. I'd put this up against a Beaucastel VV, or white hermitage any day. It's a different flavour profile - less hedonistic vs the Beau, and more of everything, but of that quality. (Tasted with 12, 13 of the same - this is the best by far - it may be an age thing, but it's way more in balance).

This is sensational - and it's been getting better over the last 5 years, so who knows where it will go next? Last bottle I'm afraid (though god bless the Coravin - I have a few more bites at the cherry). Apricot, dried peach. And then licorice-type spices. Utterly dry on the palate but yet the flavours are rich fruit. Why have top Hermitage or CdP when you can have this? Unless, you find this a bit over the top, perhaps. but it's on that quality level. This was fun young but it's something much grander now.

TB+

Incredibly complex. Spices, pear, apricot. Great acidity. Very long finish.
Wow.

Very similar to our previous bottle. Fresh, balanced and complex. I love the smoky tea notes along apricots. Everything seemed in place.
