This wine was past its drink by date. It took awhile after aerating and decanting but it developed nicely. Dark fruit with earth tones the tannins were smooth to gone but still very pleasant.

After taking 17 hours to open up, the fruit finally shored up and overcame the prior overwhelming flavor and nose of oak. The lesson with this wine as with many others with significant age that I have had the pleasure of enjoying lately is that, if it's not corked but seems, "off" likely you just need to be patient to discover the true potential of the bottle. The good window may be short and it may come 17 hours after opening, but when you hit it right, it will sing in your mouth.

Cork crumbled into a million pieces on opening. Should have used an ah so. Decent nose with some black fruit intertwined with bell peppers & some clove oil. Fruit hit mid palate & has started to fade. Acidity was a bit wound up for me especially with tannins that have dissipated. Still a rather harsh finish but it did longer on a bit. Solid for the price but I'm not going back for a case.

Flavors of Bell pepper from the American Oak. Smooth and elegant with a long finish. Drink now.

Nice Cabernet, depth, volume and finish were good and big. Also some oak and dark fruit. Some tannins left, should have kept a bit longer
