Cherries and plums. A powerfull/bold nose for a pinot. Some peppermint too. But palate is narrow and uni-dimentional. It gives a kinda of "cool aid" bad impression. Nose powerfull (even if artificial) but the taste is not fooled... Disappointing

Medium brick red; light smokiness, vanilla on the nose; dark cherries and spice in the mouth, with a bitter/metallic finish that bounces around a little. Wine coats the back of my throat which is a bit odd.

close to be a great Pinot - it is just my bias on South African wineries that use that chemical flavour that others do more organically.
Day#2 -- most of the artificial chemical taste has blown off - really a nice Pinot now
