Shows classic cooler vintage cdp notes of bramble and raspberry and blackberry and garrigue. Goodvacid supporting fresh fruit with some definite burly tannins there. Hints of alcoholic heat on finish. Really enjoyable and quite easy drinking without any of the nasty jammy notes of many modern cdp. And no obvious oak!

Well-balanced, bright black raspberry, garrigue, hints of horse, leather, still very fresh and alive with good fruit. For a "poor" vintage in the Rhone, this, along with many others of the vintage I've been tasting lately, is a really good bottle. One of the better, most balanced bottles around.

I have had this wine two more times...once today, once three weeks ago, and both times the wine appeared weaker and more listless than the first time. There seems to be an inconsistancy in the bottles, so beware.

Bright ruby-red color. Medium-light body. Earth, beets, and wisps of alcohol and funk on the nose. On the tongue, loads of ripe red fruit on a nice mineral under-bed. Tart, lively acidity. Any thin or watery taste is remedied by a little time in the glass.
