3 hour decant, and it needed it. Huge wine. Explosive and jammy blackberries and some black cherry fruit. Too much extraction for my taste, but no denying its quality. For others, it was their favorite of the night and they'd give it much higher scores.

Compared to the other Morlet on the table, this one showed a darker and more condensed profile. I think it's got it all figured out. For that, I say this one edges the other one by a point. They are both beautiful wines. Both have lots of rounded edges, but this one is showing more of a sweet black fruit rich dense core that is powerful from start to finish. Lots of spice engages the middle and gets more of a pepper on the finish. Tannin is definitely still there, but much softer vs the 13. The youth that this wine has vs the condensed structured presentation and hints of age are all well done. I still think this one could sit another 15 years, but this one is really good right now!

Really youthful still with some sweet oak and tannins still there. Smells of blueberry and blackberry currants and leather. A full bodied wine with good texture that should be left alone for a few more years to come into its own

A massive wine with bountiful blackcurrant and rich fruit. Succulent with a generous helping of sweet vanilla, smooth tannin and a long and sustantial finish. Really too young with primary characteristic right now.
