In general, California chardonnays and age don't match well. This is an exception. slightly darker yellow. none of the sherried notes that many older Chardonnays show. Beautiful aroma of tropical fruits, honeysuckle, pineapple, pear, and mild cedar. Full bodied. Great palate with tropical fruits, pineapple, pear, cedar and mild minerals. Still has a smotth finish and good acidity. Very good now, but does't appear to be heading downhill at all.
