The wine is clear and bright with a pale lemon colour and presence of many small bubbles. The nose is clean and developing, showing medium intensity aromas of green apple, lemon peel, walnuts, cream and hints of cookies. The wine is off-dry in the mouth with a high refreshing acidity. It has a medium alcohol and a medium body with a creamy mousse. It has medium(+) intensity flavours of green apple, lemon peel, walnuts, cream and hints of cookies. The finish is medium(+).
It is a very good quality wine. It has a nice flavour concentration and a very decent finish, and it shows some degree of complexity provided by autolytic notes. However it is not complex enough to be outstanding, and the acidity could be more balance by some more residual sugar or fruit concentration. Drink now, but it has enough acidity and fruit concentration to develop some tertiary aromas over the next 2-3 years.

Very oaky chardonnay nose (45 months on lees)
Moderate bubbles, chalky apple and lemon on palate, fair acidity.
Non-vintage definition - 80% comes from the base vintage
